Wesley Sweatt is a 2018 RHP with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Rock Hill, SC who attends Northwestern HS. Strong athletic build with square shoulders and long limbs. Tall delivery over the rubber with a good hip turn, 3'4's arm slot with extension out front, will collapse his back side at times without ideal lower half drive to go with it. Fastball topped out at 91 mph, has good life on his fastball down in the zone. Power curveball with a solid sweeping life, gets around it at times but creates good spin and bite. Developing change up. Should continue to improve as he becomes more consistent in his mechanics. Good student, verbal commitment to South Carolina.
