Christian Collier is a 2019 OF/RHP, 3B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Ozark, AL who attends George W Long. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout frame; quick twitch muscle and has run well in 60-yard dashes in past. Primary outfielder, shows quickness to footwork and takes an extra step through release, full arm action through the back with quickness to it, works on top of throws, good carry to intended base when working on top of the ball. Also pitched, showed nice potential as a two-way prospect. Similar long and loose arm stroke through the back side; gathers on backside following leg lift just below belt and utilizes a longer stride down the mound. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, running life to the pitch when working down and filled the zone. Slider was a consistent pitch, tight spin up to 78 mph with late bite and tilting action. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow in the box; uses a high leg lift trigger for timing and gets wider with lower half moving into contact. Stays short to the ball with swing and carries hands lower, shows rhythm to swing and incorporates physical strength well. Generates present bat speed through the zone working on a mostly linear path, jump coming off the barrel when squared and on time. Named to Top Prospect List. Verbal commitment to Pensacola State.
