Bryan Albee is a 2017 RHP/SS with a 6-2 150 lb. frame from Danielson, CT who attends Killingly High School. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a long, lean and projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.69 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins delivery with a leg lift slightly up past belt, shows balance with a short finish to delivery, front side occasionally opens early. Fuller arm stroke through the back, works to a three-quarters arm slot and is able to generate plane to fastball when on top of ball. Did a nice job of getting on top from the stretch too and held velocity, topped out at 80 mph, slight cut to ball when located to glove side, will continue to add velocity with incorporation of lower half. Showed a short 11-5 shaped curveball, gets around it at times and gives it sweeping finish, shows comfort to mix, tight rotation to curveball that flashed 12-6 shape. Similar full and quick arm action across the infield, fields the ball out front, gets on top of throws with an extra step at release, balance to footwork going up the middle. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stances and gets closed by uncoiling into contact. Uses a leg lift trigger for timing, short and inside path to the ball with a line drive swing plane. Upper body dominant swing, works the middle and pull side parts of the field, shows a contact approach with some feel for the barrel. Very good student.
