Samuel Armstrong is a 2019 RHP/SS with a 6-1 183 lb. frame from Wantage, NJ who attends High Point Regional HS. Has an athletic frame and build. Posted a 7.31 second sixty yard dash. On the mound, simple turn into delivery, comes through clean, slight hip turn at peak of leg lif up . Throws from an extended three-quarters arm slot with clean arm action. Lands online and use solid glove side, gets extension out front. Fastball comes out easy and clean, curveball had 11/5 shape with tight rotation, changeup has fading action. From the infield, showed solid actions and movements, made quick transfers and short arm action on throws. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a narrow, open stance and higher hand set. Swings on a line drive swing plane and has natural lift through the point of contact. Working all fields with a contact approach. Outstanding student.
