Davis Tavarez is a 2017 OF/ with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. extra-large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a strong, mature build with present strength throughout. Ran a 7.00 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, short and quick steps moving towards the ball, long and loose arm action with fluidity and repeatable mechanics, plus arm strength and carry, gets rid of the ball quickly, accurate throws to intended base with excellent riding life, 96 mph top throw. Also pitched, full delivery with hands over head path, rotational release with a three-quarters arm slot. Topped out at 90 mph, throws strikes and pitched off fastball, projects with additional lower half involved. Righthanded hitter, upright stance in the box with looseness and balance to swing. Easy and fluid swing path with ability to create separation at point of contact. Serious strength off the barrel when extended, hit balls out in batting practice that were as high as they were far. Power approach at the plate and executes, handles the barrel well against live pitching too, big time hand and bat speed. Named to World Showcase Top Prospect List.
