2022 High School All State Select Championship (2023-2024 Grads)
Donovan Rabiei is a 2024 LHP/OF with a 6-2 192 lb. frame from Jacksonville, FL who attends Providence. Larger frame with some strength showing in a lengthy build. Ran a 6.89 60-yard dash. A primary left-handed pitcher who had segmented movements, balancing and throwing from a lower and extended three-quarters arm slot. His fastball was working 81-84 mph with some short arm-side run to it up to around 2,153 RPMs. His changeup is the go-to secondary and had some fade to it, killing spin down to 1,488 RPMs. Also showed a breaking ball with slider traits that was slurvy at times. Had a good feel for the slider. Punched out 6 hitters over 3 perfect innings of work. A left-handed hitter who starts with the hands set high and a high back elbow. Had slightly open feet and a wider base. He was rotational through the zone, showing some strength at impact to drive the ball pull-side. Showed some feel for the barrel. Produced an 87 mph exit velocity. Also worked out as an outfielder with clean footwork through the ball, gathering, and working into the throw. Had a fluid arm stroke with some carry. Had one-hop accuracy with throws coming out at 84 mph from a higher slot. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
