Drew Leinenbach is a 2021 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Dunnellon, FL who attends Dunnellon. Very athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. Very versatile player with two-way potential. Outstanding runner, 6.48 in the sixty. Primary shortstop with plenty of arm strength for the left side, gets on top of the ball well with carry, shows the same type of arm strength from the outfield. Right handed hitter, hits from an even stance with a drifting load into the ball, barrel wrapped start, has loose hands and some bat speed, tends to get out on his front side too early, projectable hitter. Compact arm action on the mound, tends to open up early and fall off hard to the first base side, has a quick arm. Fastball topped out at 90 mph, did a good job of landing his breaking ball for strikes. Impressive athlete who will keep improving as he better refines his baseball skills in all areas. Very good student, verbal commitment to North Florida.
