Drew Davis is a 2027 SS/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Sumrall, MS who attends Sumrall. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for plenty more. 6.78 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, moves well side to side and was clean to his back hand, fluid lower half movements and plays under control, plenty of arm strength with developing accuracy. Right handed hitter, sets up in an unusual stance with a spread and open lower half and hands loaded at his chest, gradual drift back to start his swing, approach works for him, was on time and in slot and showed lots of bat speed while living on the barrel, mostly hard mid field contact but flashed his pull power as well. Took a turn on the mound, has a fast paced rocker step delivery with a high 3/4's arm slot, some energy at release. Fastball topped out at 90 mph with some riding action. Curveball was his best pitch with power and tight hard spin, true hammer 12/6 action at times. Reliever profile but the curveball is a weapon. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
