Vahn Lackey is a 2023 C/2B, 3B, SS with a 5-6 156 lb. frame from Suwanee, GA who attends Collins Hill. He ran a 8.41 second sixty. A primary catcher with a young medium frame. Behind the plate he starts with a square stance, gaining no ground into his throws he showed a low transfer and short arm action with developing arm strength recording a 2.25 second pop time. In the infield he moved well laterally with smooth glove actions, still showed developing arm strength but made accurate throws across to first base. At the plate his righthanded swing starts with an open stance and leg lift trigger, the hands work work inside out through the ball with developing feel for the barrel that projects to improve with added strength and more bat speed. Excellent student.
