Josh Endo is a 2022 LHP/OF, 1B with a 5-6 130 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Bellaire. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable frame with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.61 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, big side step moving into delivery with a leg lift up above belt; stays on line with arm action through the back while working to a three-quarters release point. Pitches to contact and able to induce early in the count, fastball topped out at 70 mph with steady cut action through the zone. Nice feel for curveball and lands it for strikes consistently, 1-7 shaped pitch with depth and able to locate to either side up to 60 mph. Flashed a curveball with diving life down in zone at 65 mph, mixed and filled zone. Quick feet moving towards the ball, quick transfer and release with a shorter arm stroke, nice energy to and through the ball, strides slightly open with lower half into release. Picked ball well in drills at first base, fields out front with two hands, sound transfer with accuracy across. Lefthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Long stride moving into contact with a high leg lift trigger for timing. Pulls hands back at start of swing, linear through the zone and looks to hit the ball out front. Contact oriented approach and gets extended well, shows a handle for the barrel. Very good student.
