Roman Cariaga is a 2024 C/3B/OF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Midlothian, TX who attends Midlothian Heritage. Medium frame with a strong and athletic build. Ran a 7.04 second 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, efficient actions behind the dish, works through the ball with ease and consistency, gets it out clean and arm strength plays very well in creating low and accurate throws. Arm strength translates to infield and outfield as well, up to 90 across the diamond, athletic enough for either position, works to and through the ball well, corner profile on the dirt or in the outfield. Righthanded hitter, short and quick stroke with real strength behind it, was on the barrel a bunch during his round and able to create real backspin to the pull side, good leverage throughout and will get into even more strength as he gets separated more. Named to 2022 Sunshine Texas Showcase Top Prospect List.
