Jacob Buell is a 2021 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Holly Springs, NC who attends Apex Friendship. Big and strong young build. 7.78 runner, has good one spot athleticism at first base and spins well with good balance, arm is loose and easy and makes accurate throws, well practiced footwork. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a short rotational swing, does a good job of staying direct to the ball for his size and shows some jump off the bat, took some good game swings and had an idea at the plate. Also pitched, has a simple repeatable delivery with good direction to the plate and a high 3/4's arm action. Fastball topped out at 78 mph with big cutting action at times, slider and fastball were very similar most of the time. Strike thrower who will get outs with movement and by challenging hitters. Excellent student.
