Dawson Muenzenmay is a 2023 RHP/INF, OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Brandon, MS who attends Hartfield Academy. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame, additional room to fill moving forward. Ran a 7.45 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins with a big step back working into a high leg lift up above belt, incorporates lower half well in drive, lands a bit closed with strike foot and works across body. Shows whip to arm through the backside working to a high three-quarters release; fluidity to mechanics, able to work to both halves with fastball and topped out at 80 mph. Tight break to curveball, showed some bite to it with 11-5 shape and nice depth when on top. Upper body dominant release on throws across the infield, shows accuracy on throws and sound mechanics, can employs additional footwork through the ball. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a high leg lift trigger, loads weight onto back side and can continue to shift through moving into contact. Keeps hands inside the ball through swing, showed strength off of the barrel and ability to impact when getting the barrel out front at point of contact, strength projects with consistent extension and weight shift, showed comfort working to his pull side.
