Hogan Nelson is a 2025 OF/RHP/IF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Liberty Christian. Medium, athletic frame with athleticism and present strength proportioned well throughout. Ran a 6.94 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, clean actions on the approach with shorter steps, deliberate tempo to actions, takes efficient angles and works into a shorter arm action on throws, delivered a strike to home from right field to get the runner, has carry from a higher release point. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, utilizes a smaller stride forward moving into contact. Present bat speed stands out through the zone, full swing path to the point of contact and works on a linear plane. Ball jumps with authority and can impact with carry to both alleys, strength comes easy in swing, plenty of hard line drive carry, finished BP round showing more lift and left the yard. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Dallas Baptist.
