AJ Horkan is a 2021 RHP/1B, 3B, OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Jacksonville, FL who attends Samuel W. Wolfson. Larger frame with a lean, strong build showing further room to fill out in the future. Projectable build. Ran a 7.47 second sixty yard dash. Primary Righthanded pitcher working exclusively out of the stretch. Belt high leg lift before working to a drop and drive. Delivering from a low three-quarter arm slot as he went on to fill up the strike zone with a good three pitch mix. Missed barrels as he worked the corners of the plate. Fastball showed late arm side run as it topped out at 84 MPH. Off-speed stuff consisted of a curveball showing 11-to-5 movement depth getting ugly swings and misses. Changeup showing similar out of hand looks to fastball before diving late. Tunnels all three pitches well. High pitch-ability showing an advanced mound presence as he went right after hitters. Secondary Infielder sitting back on the baseball before working well into it. Fields the baseball deep before shuffling into throws. Accurate throws around the bags. Raw tools in the infield. Righthanded hitter starting from a balanced look before showing a big load on back side and stride. Hands get deep while showing a linear swing path. Pull side approach proving he can lift the baseball into the leftcenter gap with ease. Outstanding Student.
