Brody Samples is a 2022 RHP/3B, MIF with a 5-9 130 lb. frame from Sardis City, AL who attends Sardis HS. Recorded a 7.60 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with square shoulders and some strength through the lower half. Primary righthanded pitcher with a short turn step into a leg lift at the belt. Online arm stroke with a slight plunge in the back. Three-quarters arm slot and pounded the arm side of the plate. Good feel for repeating and locating pitches. Low effort delivery and challenges the strike zone well. Fields position well and is advanced in terms of working corner-to-corner. Flashes sink to the fastball and pounded the lower third of the strike zone. Loose and projectable arm and shows a short slurve with 10/4 shape. Secondary third baseman who fields out in front with some extension. Can drop slot with intent and has short steps to the ball. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set and low back elbow. Linear swing path and has a flat barrel path. HAnds-heavy swing and can improve by incorporating more lower half. Good student.
