Evan Meier is a 2023 OF/RHP/SS with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from West Point, VA who attends West Point. Tall and lean athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a long stride into contact, is short and quick to the ball and showed the ability to turn hard on the inside pitch, projects well as a hitter. 7.23 runner in the sixty. Primary outfield, works through the ball with good upper half/lower half sync, smooth and quick release with some young carry on his throws, made accurate throws. Not as polished in the infield but does show his athleticism and arm strength, could develop here with more repetitions. Also pitched, turn and throw delivery with good balance over the rubber, mid 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 80 mph with some late life, threw his fastball for strikes. Still developing feel for his curveball release point. Good athlete who will continue to improve as he gets stronger. Good student.
