Christopher Mattioli is a 2021 RHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Staten Island, NY who attends Monsignor Farrell. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean and projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.16 60-yard dash. Righthanded pitcher, does a nice job of repeating mechanics, comes off back side with an online stride and incorporates lower half well; longer arm stroke through the backside working to a high three-quarters release point. Works downhill, fastball topped out at 84 mph with nice sinking action, showed ability to work to either side and ran the pitch back over the outer half often. Pounded the strike zone with a three-pitch mix; curveball shows short depth, tunnels well, tends to slow at release but lands it for strikes and slider shows tilting action up to 78 mph. Excellent student.
