Wesley Freeman is a 2008 OF/P with a 6'4'', 210 lb. frame from Lakeland, FL who attends All Saints Academy. He has a square shouldered build with excellent definition and present strength. Freeman's combination of speed and strength isn't found in baseball very often. Freeman ran the 60 in Cincinnati in 6.37 and shows great body life in all his actions. Offensively, Freeman has a very aggressive approach at the plate and attacks pitches with plus/plus bat speed and an upper cut swing plane. He blasted a 400'+ foot home run off a 92 mph fastball during games and just crushes mistakes out over the plate. Freeman can be hot or cold like most hitters, but the power and bat speed are huge. Freeman has the tools to play all over the outfield. He obviously has the speed and threw 90 mph during outfield drills. His arm strength is a plus tool. Freeman plays very hard and plays to win. He is a rare prospect with size, power, speed, and arm strength. He is a very good student also. Selected to 2007 Aflac All-American team.
