Garrett Rusch is a 2022 SS/2B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from New Castle, IN who attends New Castle Chrysler. Medium frame with a lean and athletic build. Ran a 7.08 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, works light on his feet with some bounce to his actions showing good body control throughout the process; athleticism gives him good lateral range, fields the ball squarely out front and funnels to a loose arm with some strength on throws across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, sets up wide with high hands and a high back elbow; shows good quickness to his hands with some strength behind the swing working on a level plane and showing the ability to turn the barrel over and drive the ball well to the pull side. Very good student.
