Dave Riley is a 2018 RHP/ with a 6-5 195 lb. frame from Mansfield, MA who attends Xaverian Brothers. XL frame with long, lean present build; good projection remaining on body. Primary righthanded pitcher. Longer arm stroke with deep plunge through takeaway up to high three quarters arm slot release, capable of generating plane when on top and timed up. Online delivery. Fastball worked 76-80 mph with flashes of arm side life; showed ability to command the fastball to both sides of the plate at times. Pitched backwards frequently with curveball, thrown in low-70's with 11/5 shape and quality depth, adept at landing the pitch for strikes in any count. Showed ability to manipulate shape of the pitch somewhat as well. Flashed changeup in low 70's with fading life to the arm side. Body projects quite well moving forward; has thrown harder at previous PG events.
