Adrien Islas is a 2026 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-10 198 lb. frame from Powder Springs, GA who attends Mceachern. Features a physical build with some softness but present strength. Ran a 7.84 60-yd dash. At 1B, showed present glove skill/feel fielding it low and clean while getting it out the glove quick. Showed a shorter/quick arm action on DP turns and lengthens it out on throws across with avg. accuracy. At the plate, he sits in a wider base where he holds a flatter bat at launch. Uses a simple forward move where he glides onto his front side with minimal back hip/leg engagement. Rotational swing where his hands work with some quickness and throw the barrel on a flatter path through with some length and avg. impact. Had some natural feel for the LC gap which he peppered several LDs too. On the mound, he works exclusively from the stretch and uses a belt high knee lift. Present depth in the backleg while initiating good drift down the mound. Lands a tad open at finish. More of a compact circle out the glove and to release out of a 3/4 slot. His T80 fastball displayed some late cutting action. His upper 60 slider is pretty short in break and acts as a cutter at times.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
