Caden Spivey is a 2022 RHP/MIF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Soperton, GA who attends Vidalia Comprehensive. Recorded a 7.02 second sixty-yard dash time. Strong, durable frame with athletic look to it and present strength. Primary right-handed pitcher with simple, repeatable delivery and explosive present arm speed. Fastball worked mostly in the upper-80s throughout his outing, topping out at 91 mph from a high three-quarters arm slot. Proficient strike thrower with full three-pitch mix, lower release point and explosive life through the strike zone. Shows command to both sides of the plate with full-mix, landing both his secondary offerings for strikes and garnering empty swings when ahead in the count. Slider flashes two-plane break with good present spin traits that are indicative of future velocity gains. Developing changeup is well-replicated and has the potential to be a true swing-and-miss offering. High level arm with starters components that will continue to add velocity as he fully matures. Secondary middle-infielder with athletic actions throughout the fielding process, while showing good lateral range to either side and the ability to throw from multiple arm angles. Recorded arm strength up to 84 across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from an open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and small forward stride out to landing. Contact oriented swing with minimal lower half torque and flatter barrel path. Middle-of-the field approach with consistent bat-to-ball skills, strong hands and some feel for the barrel. Solid overall skill set with high level upside on the mound that will continue to expand as he physically matures. Excellent Student. Verbal commitment to the University of Notre Dame. Named to the National Underclass East Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
