Yonadsan Vargas is a 2026 C/UT with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Bayonne, NJ who attends Bayonne. Large, physical build with well-proportioned strength present and some projection remaining. Primary catcher, varies his set-up between a squared and bent-knee stance. Gets out of the crouch with urgency and pivots his feet into a balanced position. Gains some ground while working into a midline transfer and shorter arm path. Put good carry on his throws with accuracy to the bag. Recorded arm strength up to 78 mph with a pop-time of 1.97 sec. Left-handed hitter, starts in a slightly open stance with high and tight hands. Utilizes a hover trigger for timing before working into a line drive stroke. Remains balanced and under control during the loading phase. Has plenty of quickness in the hands. Showcased the ability to generate leverage to the pull-side and middle of the field. Projects for more power with additional strength. Posted an exit velocity of 86 mph. Ran a 7.58 sixty-yard dash. Great student. Named to the 2025 Mid-Atlantic Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
