Drew Owen is a 2023 OF/RHP/MIF with a 5-9 148 lb. frame from Murfreesboro, TN who attends Middle Tennessee Christian. Medium frame with an athletic build showing. Ran a 7.67 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, sitting back on the baseball making sure he makes a clean route to the baseball. Uphill release on throws as he threw it 78 mph during drills. Looks to carry throws all the way to target. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, works with a quick paced motion as he proved to be balanced throughout and could repeat the actions. Shorter arm action as he delivered from a high three-quarter slot. Downhill plane and he filled the zone up with a three pitch mix. Fastball up to 79 mph with some arm side run as he worked both sides of the dish with it. Breaking ball with 11-to-5 break in mid-60's that he spun exceptionally well. Flashed a changeup as well that had late fade. Right-Handed Hitter, starting balanced and slightly open. Uphill swing path as he looks to do damage with every swing. Longer swing path as he looks to drive the baseball middle-away. Outstanding Student. Named to Ohio Valley Showcase Top Prospect List.
