Brennyn Abendroth is a 2021 RHP/1B with a 6-4 235 lb. frame from Terre Haute, IN who attends West Vigo. Primary right-handed pitcher with a physical frame and strong build. Starts from the windup with a small side step into a belt high leg lift. Has drop and drive actions in the lower half, landing online and getting good extension over the front side. Has a short and compact arm stroke from an over the top slot, sitting at 88-90 miles per hour and topping at 91 with a heavy fastball. Pounds the strike zone with plenty of strikes and shows good feel to land a pair of secondary pitches for strikes. Has a curveball with tight spin and late depth through the zone, gets plenty of swings and misses in the low-70s. Flashed feel for a low-80s slider and currently has more feel and confidence with the curveball. Right-handed hitter with a tall and even stance, showcasing a pull-side approach and flashing some serious jump off the barrel. Has a slightly lifted barrel plane through the zone, showcasing some strength at contact and firing the hips well with a rotational lower half.
