2026 PG Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Sebastian Rodriguez is a 2027 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-10 154 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Florida Christian. Lean medium athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Outstanding runner, 6.32 in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, long arm action into release with throws that topped out at 90-mph, cuts it some on occasion, moves well through it, carries momentum and was accurate during the round, good outfielder actions. Left-handed pitcher, full wind with the feet set on the third base side of the rubber, small sidestep and works into a belt high leg lift, controlled and low effort from a three-quarters arm angle, average arm speed, inline down the slope, coiled hip at the apex of the lift, can locate his fastball glove-side and used a steady diet of fastballs, developing feel for both his slider and change-up at this stage. Left-handed hitter, even base, high hands and high back elbow set, small stride out, developing overall bat speed, deeper contact points at times, on the barrel working through the middle of the field nicely in the round. Good student. Named to the PG Preseason High School Showcase Top Prospect List.
