Alex Carver is a 2025 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-9 185 lb. frame from Thomasville, NC who attends Uwharrie Charter Academy. Stocky strong build. Left-handed hitter, has a busy hand load with a big stride into contact, lots of timing variables leading into his swing, has strength in his hands and swings hard, flashes pull side juice when everything comes together. 8.01 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, has an idea on his footwork and moves well, good transfers and has some arm strength for the position. Took a turn on the mound, works from an abbreviated wind up with deceptive timing that can impact a hitter's timing. Fastball was in the upper 70's and was thrown to spots, also threw a soft curveball and a change up that induced some ground ball contact. Has some feel for pitching. Excellent student.
