Matt Queen is a 2023 SS/RHP/C with a 5-7 120 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends Trevor Day. Medium and skinny frame, square shoulders and limitless room to fill. Ran an 8.21 second 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the baseball out in front taking long strides moving to it, young footwork coming through the ball, will continue to improve with added reps in the infield and refinement to footwork at release, developing arm strength with some carry to the first base bag. Righthanded hitter, sets up with a spread out stance and a high hand set, utilizes a high leg lift trigger into contact, shift into contact well, takes a long hand path to the baseball with a rotational swing, worked the baseball to all parts of the field during batting practice with a primarily middle to pull side approach at the plate. Good student.
