Denny Almonte is a 2007 OF with a 6'2'', 215 lb. frame from Miami, FL, who attends Florida Christian HS. Almonte has a great frame with strength, quickness, and athleticism. He showed speed on the bases and in the sixty (6.72). Defensively he has fluid actions in the OF and glides to balls. Almonte has good arm speed and arm strength with good accuracy. At the plate he is a switch hitter who performed better from the right side at this event. He has outstanding bat speed through the hitting zone, and has the ability to hit with power when he centers the ball. Almonte has the raw tools to be outstanding at the next level when the consistency catches up to his overall tools.
