Danny Melendez is a 2026 SS/RHP/2B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Celebration, FL who attends TNXL Academy. Wiry athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, starts from a wide base with an inward toe tap trigger into his swing, easy low effort load with a fluid and fast swing, gets out front and turns the barrel over with confidence, quick hips drive his swing, ball comes off hard, hits under control and with confidence, high level hitting tools, power will come with additional strength. 7.06 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has the same sort of well controlled balanced actions on defense as he shows at the plate, ranges well to both sides, fields the ball with a clean funnel out front, good arm strength across the diamond. Excellent student. Named to the Florida High School All-State Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
