Layton Rodriguez is a 2023 C/RHP/UT with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Orange Grove, TX who attends Orange Grove. He has a large, durable, athletic frame with a strong lower half. On the mound he works exclusively out of the slot and uses a high three-quarter arm slot. He has an athletic, uptempo delivery. Good fastball command. In the infield he showed an accurate arm. He moved well and had a good feel for backhanding balls. At the plate he had loud, pull side pop. Balls jump off the barrel. He has feel to backspin all fields. Posses a clean, direct path to the baseball.
