JC Coban is a 2011 C/3B with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Boca Raton, FL who attends Boca Raton Community. Strong muscular mature build. Showed a very strong arm behind the plate, good carry on throws, accurate, needs to cut down on release time but has plus tools defensively. Workout pop time is representative of actual in-game pop times. Advanced hitter for age, has a plan when he steps in to the box, made good in-game adjustments. Simple swing mechanics, good strength at contact, has power, generates bat speed easily. Good student, committed to Penn State.
