2024 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Alejandro Puig is a 2024 SS/2B, 3B, MIF, OF, UT with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Pembroke Pines, FL who attends Pembroke Pines Charter. Tall, lean frame. Good runner, ran a 6.80 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, works very well to the back hand and comes around the ball nicely, quick actions getting to the spot, gets the ball out quickly and showed good arm strength across with accuracy, recorded throws up to 85 mph. Secondary outfielder, under control on the charge in, works through the baseball nicely with a one hand gather on the side of the frame, good arm strength shown, long arm stroke to a higher release. Accurate throws around the bag recorded up to 85 mph with carry out of the hand. Right-handed hitter, wide base with high hands in the stance, swings the bat with intent, quick turns into contact. Does a good job of generating bat speed in a tight window, hit hard liners all over the field, recorded an exit velocity of 94 mph. Tremendous student. Verbal commitment to Dartmouth. Named to 2024 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
