Cole Hambly is a 2025 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Cranston, RI who attends Worcester Academy. Big thick frame. In the infield, he shows corner type actions but got the fielding point on time. The backhand mechanic could use some clean up, reaching too far for it. Showed decent funnel working up the middle. Good arm strength from a compact release, plenty of arm to man the hot corner in the future. At first base, he executed the turns well with crisp in rhtyhm throws to second. Left-handed hitter, wide base and even feet. Solid bat speed with big time strength at impact. Violent uphill swing that can punish the ball in the air to the pull side. Similar to most true power hitters, there is some swing and miss to go along with it but most coaches will gladly make that trade off. 5.14 40-yard. Excellent student. Named to the Top Prospect list. Verbal commitment to Siena.
