Archer Horn is a 2026 SS/RHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from San Mateo, CA who attends St. Ignatius College Prep. Tall and strong build, has some room to continue adding strength. Ran a 6.96 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, athletic movements getting to the ball, range to both sides and the hands work well out front with smoothness to them. Compact arm action and has the ability to change slots, throws have big carry across with accuracy, showing obvious arm talent, throws recorded up to 91 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher, stretch only delivery, hands come set high, higher leg lift to balance, simple lower half mechanics that he repeats well, fastball comes out with downhill plane, commands it well to the bottom of the zone. Deception in the delivery and hides the ball. Fastball has carry out of the hand, up to 87 mph (1988 RPM). Curveball and changeup both in low-70s, curveball showed downer shape, up to 72 mph (2296 RPM), and changeup has solid fading action, up to 72 mph (1791 RPM). Left-handed hitter, wide base with high hands and a high back elbow in the stance. Small stride forward gets the swing started, natural loft to the path and got extended consistently throughout the round. Good leverage out front and uses it well.
