Zach Plasschaert is a 2023 1B/3B/OF with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Saugus, CA who attends Saugus. Long and lean athletic build with loads of physical projection remaining. Left handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a high back elbow load, has fast hands and creates barrel whip through the zone, length gives him big leverage as well, swing can long into the zone but turns the barrel over well once it gets there, real power projection here, geared for the fastball. 7.19 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, will be an asset at that position, makes quick turns and makes accurate throws from all arm angles, good agility with soft hands. Also plays the outfield. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Arizona.
