Vincent Van der Wel is a 2024 SS/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Woodland Hills, CA who attends Chaminade College Preparatory. Medium frame with athletic build, ran 60 yard dash in 7.48 seconds. Hits from open stance, crouches back into load with barrel tip up top, flashes ability to make tight turn with bat speed and strength in hands, will get inside-out and lose the barrel at times, good present power with more to come. Worked out in the infield, good footwork with balance and range, lines it up well, works through glovework smoothly, consistently accurate throws, clocked up to 77 mph. Also pitched, works from the stretch, loose and easy delivery, fastball worked 78-81 mph with short arm side life, filled up the zone, spun soft curveball for strikes. Excellent student.
