2025 PG WWBA Workout Showcase (July 5)
Roman Garcia is a 2027 1B/3B with a 6-2 220 lb. frame from Key West, FL who attends Key West. Large frame with present musculature and power oriented overall build. Primary position 1B, with emerging glove work and developing softness to his actions here. Shows feel around the bag with deliberate foot work that can improve with time. Real arm strength here, ripping accurate throws across the diamond up to 85 mph with relative ease. Also took reps behind the dish with basic actions here and could be an option down the line if necessary. RHH working from a medium stance and using a low hovering slide to front side to get started. Strong handset with some length in the front arm pre-pitch, using direct path to impact. Occasional steep approach to the ball and when he gets on plane the ball got off his barrel well. Physicality to impact the ball at a high level and when extended can launch a bit. Outstanding student as well. Named to the PG WWBA Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
