Andrew Gillespie is a 2024 RHP/IF with a 5-10 153 lb. frame from Bishop, GA who attends Athens Christian School. Recorded a 7.51 second 60-yard dash time. High-waisted, lean frame with a ton of time to fill out and develop physically. Primary righthanded pitcher with a high leg lift and lands a bit closed off. Whippy arm action with a slight lean on the backside toward first base at the gather. Easy velocity and the ball comes out clean with his fastball topping out at 81 mph. Works down in the zone with arm side run. Mixed in a mid-60s curveball with 12/6 action and late bite while flashing a changeup. Arm strength plays from secondary position of the infield. Switch hitter who graded out best from the left side. Short and simple stroke with a wide stance and bat speed. Looks to lift the ball and can create good gap to gap power. Tremendous student.
