2024 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Sebastian D Fernandez is a 2025 3B/RHP/2B with a 5-9 185 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends iMater Charter. Recorded a 7.45 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman with some present strength to the frame. Showed some bounce to actions in the infield and moved around in the dirt well. Clean funnel and quick transfer to get it across the diamond. Right-handed hitter and initiates swing with a big leg lift trigger. Showed quality bat speed and swing stays on an uphill path through the zone. Worked the pull side during the round and showed solid strength. Secondary right-handed pitcher and employs a compact delivery with repeatable movements. Leg lift to waist level, uses a long arm action and releases from a 3/4 slot. Fastball topped at 83 mph and showed a quick arm. Mixed in a 12-6 shaped curveball with solid depth, landing it for strikes. Named to the 2023 Preseason High School Showcase Top Prospect List.
