2023 National Showcase
Lazaro Collera is a 2024 RHP with a 6-6 230 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Florida Christian. Extra big and strong build. Works from the stretch with a high leg raise start, compact and quick arm action from an over the top arm slot, works straight downhill, repeats his mechanics well. Fastball worked consistently in the mid-90's and topped out at 98 mph, missed plenty of bats with the fastball, very low spin rate profile. Has significantly improved his slider, throws it in the low 80's with good command and some depth. Firm change up has some short life to it. Power arm who is really developing quickly as a pitcher. Good student, verbal commitment to Miami. Named to the Perfect Game All-American Classic Team.
