Beckett Denton is a 2027 RHP/OF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Matthews, NC who attends Weddington High School. Primary right-handed pitcher with a big frame and lean athletic build. Standard side step delivery working direct to the plate from the third base side of the rubber. High belt tucked lift with shorter takeaway to a 3/4 arm slot down the slope. Controls the strike zone with fastball up to 83 mph (2139 RPM) to both sides of the plate and breaking ball with depth around 70 mph (2075 RPM). Flashed a knuckleball in the mid-60s in the strike zone to left-handed hitters as a third offering. Projectable frame with present strength and room to add more moving forward. Secondary outfielder recorded a 7.40 second 60-yard dash time. Works to the ball with deliberate footwork and clean gather in the outfield. Online throws to the bases at 86 mph with inline momentum. Corner actions and footwork on the infield with accurate throws across the diamond at 82 mph. Right-handed hitter with an even base and balanced stance. Deep hand load with short stride and rotational upper-half swing in the box. Has strength out front with pull side impact when timing and swing are in sync. Excellent student.
