Austin Liss is a 2025 OF/RHP with a 6-0 188 lb. frame from Odessa, FL who attends Steinbrenner. Medium athletic build with room to fill out in both halves of the frame. Primary outfielder, athletic actions here, breaks down and fields it with one hand, long gather with some arm speed, some accuracy to the bag, solid all around and gamelike actions. Secondary right-handed pitcher, hybrid delivery from the first base side of the rubber, very small sidestep to belt high lift, quick arm, clean release, three-quarters slot, got ugly swings on his tight spinning low 70's curve with 2271 RPM, consistent feel to land this, bread and butter pitch was the cutter at 79-81 with 2470 RPM and very good movement patterns, lot of bad swings and weak contact produced off this pitch, parachute traits on the change versus left-handed bats, life on the heater, future could be on the mound long term. Took infield, high effort arm here, good hands out front, average footwork. Right-handed hitter, moderately wide base, even feet, high hands, high back elbow, loud line drives to the pull-side, linear path, some power to left. Athletic prospect that will get stronger, future may be on the bump long term based off this look. Named to the 2024 Sunshine East Top Prospect List. Florida State commit.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
