2025 Scorpions (TX) Prospect Showcase (2026-2027 Grads)
Wade Sebek is a 2026 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-10 195 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Cy-Fair. Strong and compact physical build 7.32 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense with two-way potential on the mound. Didn't throw in drills but showed nice athletic actions around the bag and moving to the ball, clean glove work, showed his actions and athleticism well. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a short close and stride into contact, does a very good job of getting into his strong hips and creating bat speed, ball comes off the barrel hard with pull side contact and power. Also has prospect tools on the mound. Throws from a high 3/4's arm slot with a firm front side to lever against, arm works well and ball comes out of his hand easily. Fastball was mostly in the mid-80's and topped out at 88 mph, has nice run and sink. Threw both a big and soft 1/7 curveball and a short slider with some bite to it. Change up showed nice fading life at times. Strike thrower with a feel for mixing. Excellent student.
