Jean Sanchez is a 2026 SS/RHP with a 5-7 144 lb. frame from Carolina, PR who attends National Baseball Academy. Started the event off clocking a 6.56 60-yard dash. A primary shortstop, secondary pitcher. Plays well on the move and can pick-it defensively on the dirt, has plenty of arm strength and gets rid of the ball quickly with sound fundamentals clocking an 82 across the diamond. Switch hitter, has a short swing with quick hands, shows good leverage at contact, ball comes off the barrel with hard line drive jump and was aggressive attacking the ball in games from both sides. On the mound, he features a 2-pitch mix (FB, CH) Sanchez has as a medium leg raise delivery and shows good direction and energy down the mound with a clean 3/4 arm slot. Fastball topped out at 80 mph and showed a nice changeup with fading action. Named to the Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
