Adam Behrens is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Lake Villa, IL who attends Warren Township. Large frame with a long and lean build, has plenty of room to fill moving forward. Excellent physical projection. Primary right-handed pitcher with a long and loose arm action, wraps around the back side some and gets offline. Comes from a three-quarters slot and has good arm speed. Small sidestep delivery with a knee to chest leg lift, lands online with good extension to home. Works at an up tempo pace, is very aggressive on the mound and goes right at hitters. Repeats the delivery well, will continue to improve command as he can repeat/find his release point consistently. Ball really jumps out of the hand, was up to 90 mph and sits in the high 80s with ease. Showed a hammer curveball with 12-6 shape and sharp/late bite, definite swing and miss type pitch. Also flashed a changeup to complete the three-pitch mix. Impressive showing overall, has high upside and projects very well on the mound moving forward. Great student. Named to the 2022 Chicago Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
