Barrett McKenney is a 2025 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Mize, MS who attends Simpson Academy. Big and strong athletic build. 6.90 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense who profiles as a third baseman at the next level, arm strength is his best tool, gets good carry and can throw off balance, hands work well at the ball with good softness and positioning. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a rock back load, long and strong swing with some lift and loose extension out front, has good bat speed and power but will need to shorten up as the pitching speeds up. Good student, signed with Northwest Mississippi CC. Named to the PG World Showcase Top Prospect List.
