Ben Detienne is a 2028 MIF/RHP with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Verona, WI who attends Verona Area. Long and slender young build with lots of room to fill in and get stronger. 7.17 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, has a quick first step and plays low through the ball, nice idea on his footwork with pace and body control, soft hands fielding, changed his arm slot well on the move and made accurate throws, has the actions. Right handed hitter, sets up in a narrow and open stance with a high hand load, works to the middle of the field with a short swing, high contact swing, can extend more through the ball for additional power as he gets stronger. Also pitched, has a well connected delivery with a high leg raise with a long stride down the mound, clean arm action with good extension out front. Fastball topped out at 80 mph with some running life. Curveball in the low 60's had some 11/5 depth. Threw strikes with both pitches and has lots of projection from his body and advanced mechanics. Good student. Named to the Midwest Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
