Jackson Starling is a 2027 RHP/SS/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Waverly Hall, GA who attends Harris County. Tall, lean build with both strength and athleticism present. Primary right-handed pitcher, utilizes a full wind-up delivery from the first base side of the rubber. Operates at a slower pace and lifts his front leg up to the belt. Separates his hands at the chin and into a deeper arm path. Strides slightly open as he accelerates into a low three-quarters arm angle. Fastball showed late arm-side run and worked both sides of the plate effectively, ultimately peaking at 82 mph. Mixed in a breaking ball with gradual two-plane tilt to it when ahead in counts. Offers intriguing upside from a physicality and velocity standpoint. Secondary shortstop, stays fairly light on his feet and bends at the waist while working through the baseball. Covers some ground laterally and fields the ball with soft hands. Displayed developing footwork and adjustability on the run. Delivered accurate throws across the diamond while recording arm strength up to 81 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts in an upright, even stance with tight hands. Utilizes a simple stride for timing before working into a slightly uphill bat path. Creates good separation and leverage at the point of contact. Has good feel for the barrel with plenty of present quickness in the hands. Showcased the ability to work all parts of the field. Projects for more power with additional strength. Posted an exit velocity of 86 mph. Ran a 7.29 sixty-yard dash. Excellent student. Named to the 2024 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event Top Prospect List.
